We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Science to join our dynamic team of committed teachers who are dedicated to providing the best possible opportunities to our students.   The successful candidate will have experience of teaching Science up to KS3 and KS4 and be able to demonstrate high standards of delivery in a consistent manner and be committed to improving achievement across all key stages.  You will be highly motivated and innovative, and have the ability to deliver explosive lessons that will inspire our Learners to succeed. This is a newly created Faculty, merging an evolving Technology provision with a well-established Science Faculty which has been making steady progress in pupil attainment over a three year period and are on target to achieve their best possible GCSE results this summer. It is also a time of huge potential, with a staff developing in confidence, and a £10m building programme transforming the accommodation for Science & Technology.  The Faculty has the most state of the art facilities which will include 10 new science classrooms, two Technology workshops, two Catering rooms and an ICT suite with Apple macs.  All is equipped with the latest Technology such as laser cutters, a 3D printer and extremely well resourced science laboratories. This reflects the importance the academy sees Science and Technology playing in the development of the Academy’s future success. The Science team is organised around a general science delivery, and the current shadow structure supports KS3 and 4 achievement, additionally interventions, Vocational Science and STEM programmes.
