Job description:
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our large residential team at Lombardy Park, Ipswich.As a Support Worker you will assist with personal care (differs for each person), finances, meal preparation, attending clubs and social activities, and other general tasks within their home and community. Hobbies and interests of the people we support include listening to music, going to the cinema or pub and meeting friends at day centres. Your support will contribute to maximising the independent living skills for the people we support.You will be joining us on a permanent 37.5 OR 30 hours per week contract (day time/evening only). It is important that you are flexible to meet the needs of the people we support.Shifts are 7.30am-2.15pm, 2pm-9pm. Having a driving licence is desirable but not essential as the service is easily accessible by Bus.The people we support would like to hear from someone who is patient and will spend time with them so that they can make their own choices. We are a large friendly team so there is lots of support available for you if you are new to support work. We support a wide range of individuals with great characters, so no two days are the same.If you are looking to work within a well established team with a supportive Manager then look no further. You do not need to have previous experience but knowledge of the sector would be an advantage.An enhanced DBS is required for this role.
