Job Description Communities and Families Supervisory Assistant - Dining Room Balgreen Primary School Salary: £13,609 to £15,285 (pro rata for part-time and sessional) plus living wage allowance Hours: 4 per week (Monday to Thursday 12- 1pm), term-time only (39 weeks per year) Balgreen Primary School sits in the heart of the local community. Our catchment draws families from diverse demographic backgrounds providing a vibrant and unique ethos of which we are proud. At Balgreen, we are committed to providing a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to acquire the knowledge and skills needed to approach life and learning with confidence. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the City of Edinburgh Council. The City of Edinburgh Council applies a Living Wage allowance to ensure that all employees earn at least £8.51 per hour. Successful applicants will be paid the hourly rate for the post, plus the allowance, in order to bring their earnings to £8.51 per hour.
