JOB DESCRIPTION :Structural Engineer. DESCRIPTION. Structural Engineer (Buildings). My client is recruiting for a Structural Engineer who will be become a valued member of a friendly team of busy professionals, working on an extraordinary portfolio of buildings and maritime structures including:- historic buildings, wide span steel portal frames, concrete framed buildings, masonry structures, docks, jetties, roads and bridges. We're currently looking for talented engineering professionals with Civil, Structural, Building and M&E Surveying experience to undertake appraisals/inspections, feasibility assessments, preliminary/final designs, drawings, reports and specifications to professional standards. This will allow you to drive your own career and realise your full potential. Your main responsibilities as a Structural Engineer (Buildings) will involve:. Helping to provide technical support & engineering design management to buildings and infrastructure projects across the 300 buildings within the PNB estate. Assisting the management of the work carried out by sub-contractors. Inspecting and reporting back on construction site work. Supporting structural appraisals and inspections of the PNB estate. Supporting engineering feasibility assessments. Attending design reviews. Your skills and qualifications as a Structural Engineer (Buildings):. Essential:. A strong degree or HNC in Civil/Structural Engineering. Fluent with MS Office and generally IT literate. Knowledge/Experience in designing with all building materials - masonry, steel, timber and concrete (both by hand and using computer software). Desirable. Previous experience of AutoCAD (or similar) software. Knowledge of Eurocodes. Knowledgeable in structural inspections and preparation of reports. Experienced within structural engineering.
