Our client a new, very unique Award Winning restaurant in Woking, Surrey are currently looking for a Sous Chef to join their team. They are looking for a solid and reliable individual able to support the head chef, providing excellent food and coordinating service. This award winning Restaurant offers a unique and relaxed dining environment, with menus offering honest, elegance and above all, beautiful food cooked with skill and served in a contemporary and welcoming environment. The cuisine is modern British and European classics cooked from the finest ingredients. The team at this Restaurant are passionate, enthusiastic and highly skilled. As well as preparing outstanding food, the role will include development, in conjunction with the head chef, of future menus and dishes with a continually fresh look and progressive thinking. The Sous Chef role: *Working directly with the head chef in menu development, creation of new dishes as well as managing the core team, whilst maintaining required margins *Ability to consistently produce high quality dishes as specified by the head chef *Ensure cleaning schedule is adhered to and that appropriate cleaning procedures are implemented by the team *Ensure accurate stock rotation and storage procedures are adhered to *Maintain a detailed knowledge of the full menu, ingredients and recipes *Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene legislation *Ensure all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programmes are carefully adhered to. Sous Chef Key Requirements: *Have previous experience in a Sous Chef role in a similar environment *Ensure procedures are carefully followed at all times *Ability to run and maintain your section at a high standard and instruct others in their sections *Must be punctual, creative, adaptable and well mannered *Be self-motivated and also to provide motivation for the team, enthusiasm *Able to communicate clearly, professionally and concisely *Keep to work collaboratively and able to guide others in their junior roles This Sous Chef position offers a salary of £24K and the opportunity to work in an excellent environment with passionate chefs.
