Job Title: Shared Services Administrator Location: Manchester Piccadilly Rate: £85 per day Duration: ASAP â€" 30/7/16 Key Accountabilities • Work in a team based environment and consistently meet payroll cycle timetables • Maintain data collection and data protection principles and ensure relevant authorised data is processed in accordance with corporate and statutory policies and conditions • Apply controls, checks and audit processes to assure payroll accuracy • Assess and process incoming payroll data in accordance with statutory and contractual requirements and standard operating procedures • Meet all standards for immediate payroll balancing and reconciliation of payments, interfaces and files Undertake work activities consistent with: • Relevant legislation and corporate activities • HRSS procedures • Corporate risk assessments • Management of your own and team’s role in relation to health, safety and security. incoming post, emails and telephone calls • Be actively and constructively involved in continuous improvement activities aligned to payroll and your remit. • Check and evaluate the work of others in your team to ensure quality of the work is maintained Job Skills, Experience and Qualifications Essential • GCSE Level Mathematics, English (or equivalent) (A-C) • Experience of working in a large complex organisation • Experience of working in a large shared services centre environment • Experience of working in a large team • Strong analytical skills • Experience of working in a customer focused environment • Proficient in Microsoft packages esp. Office, excel and word • Worked to multiple weekly deadlines • Experience of working with large volume of activities and queries • Ability to work under pressure • Ability to input large volumes of data quickly and accurately Desirable • Payroll Institute â€" Foundation Level • Experience of working in a large complex payroll department • Hands on day to day experience of working in a busy payroll team or wishing to develop a career path in payroll. • Pay experience in accordance with multiple terms & conditions of employment • Experience of using integrated HR and Payroll solutions • Employment legislation governing payroll administration • Knowledge of PAYE Regulations and Guidelines • Good understanding of statutory deductions & payments and end of year reporting requirements • Experience of auditing systems and compliance to processes • Experience of administering corporate benefit schemes • Experience of administering state and occupational pension schemes
