Steinhoff UK Upholstery Ltd is a well-established market leading manufacturer and supplier of upholstered furniture (branded and non-branded) to the UK Market.Due to continued expansion we are seeking experienced, talented upholstery sewing machinists who enjoy a varied and interesting workload to join our Cut & Sew Department. We can provide a supportive and friendly working environment, secure employment and an opportunity for career development, in addition to offering re-training for "returners to the industry". Essential Technical Knowledge and Experience:- § Experience of upholstery sewing § A minimum of 2 years industrial sewing experience with a good knowledge of various sewing techniques that include:- - Top stitching - Overlocking - Piping - Zips § Experience in cutting fabrics § Knowledge of different fabrics types § Ability to follow sewing specifications § Good hand to eye coordination § Good sewing and fine finishing techniques § Ability to use industrial sewing machine and perform basic machine maintenance i.e. changing needle and thread and cleaning the machines § The ability to follow good sewing practices and company methods of work § Good communication skills § Good analytical skills and attention to detail i.e. quality standards If you have these skill sets and are looking to join a progressive, quality focused company whose products exude great design please email your CV with a cover letter to the HR Manager at recruitment at steinhoff.co.uk
