Were looking for a full-time Senior Support Worker to work across two of our services in Ellesmere Port, at which we support four adults in each location who have a range of moderate to profound learning disabilities. You will play a key role assisting the people we support to live as independently as possible. You will join in with their favourite pastimes and hobbies, and help them be active members of their local community. For example, the people we support in these services enjoy attending shows, going on holiday, railway journeys and discos. As a Senior, you will develop rotas and deputise for the Head of Service. You will work closely with the staff team, encouraging them and identifying training needs, whether formal or by way of day-to-day coaching and reflection. The rota for this service covers shifts across days, evenings, nights, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. What we need from you. You will need some experience working with vulnerable people, ideally those with learning disabilities. Perhaps you have been a Care Worker and are now looking to step up to a more senior role. You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. It is essential for these positions that you hold a full manual driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK, as you will be required to drive a mobility car.
