Job description:
The role The successful applicant will take full responsibility for the delivery of all L&D for the organisation. They will work in partnership with internal and external bodies to ensure all learning and development supports the company agenda: developing L&D strategy, learning design and defining career pathways to ensure the whole workforce are appropriately skilled. The post-holder will be required to work 4 days per week . Key responsibilities Leading L&D change in line with company policy and strategy Developing the L&D strategy for essential skills, management and leadership training Developing career pathways throughout the organisation Developing partnership working both internally and externally Identifying and developing revenue streams Utilising data in order to plan and deliver L&D programme Acting as L&D advisor to the Board and Senior Management Team Scoping the training needs of the organisation ensuring resources required are identified, sourced and managed within available L&D budgets Managing the centralised L&D budget Taking ultimate accountability for the way in which communications, learning events and development activities are delivered Leading on the development of online training Working to develop a high performance culture Maximising the benefits of the online performance management system Analysing the learner journey Ensuring there is continuous professional development for all staff Personal Specification Able to demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills, Able to build effective working relationships with staff and management at all levels Able to inspire confidence in senior people and influence their thinking A completer/finisher with the drive and enthusiasm to deliver innovative solutions Strong problem solving skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders who have competing agendas Organised and able to prioritise complex, time sensitive workloads and projects Exceptional communication skills Ability to facilitate and deliver training, lead and present information at meetings and seminars Leading a L&D team to deliver organisation wide initiatives identifying, designing and evaluating training needs Budget and funding management and monitoring Able to demonstrate an innovative approach Chartered MCIPD or similar, e.g. degree in HR Management or L&D
