Senior Network and Security Consultant - Leading IT Managed Services Provider. £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus. Leicester. My client, a leading Provider of IT Managed Services, require an experienced on-site, CCNP certified, Senior Network Security Consultant. The successful candidate will be tasked with leading an initiative rather than waiting for specific direction. Instead of doing just what the client requests, look for other opportunities for improvement within that initiative while still doing the expected work. Responsibilities. The role will vary from project to project but the core set of tasks are, but not limited to:-. - Lead in the delivery of a solution and gain insight in other technology areas. - Gain an understanding of the impact to the overall project on areas outside of the expertise. - Ensure they understand the scope and goals of a project. - Take ownership of the technical delivery of their specific area of domain expertise. - Ensure that incidents / problems and communicated accurately and in a timely manner. - Assist in building durable, reusable and robust solutions. - Take part in an on call rota as required. A senior I&S engineer is becoming a subject matter expert within a specific domain of expertise and is developing in most competency dimensions within that domain. They normally work as part of a team in a leading role assisting their juniors in delivering a solution. As such, a senior I&S engineer is often responsible for implementing specific elements of a project and fully documenting the elements of the solution they have implemented. Skills. - CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional). - CCSP/CCNP Security. - Check Point. - Cisco ASA (Firewall, VPN). - Cisco Wireless/F5. - Nexus/data centre switches. - Enterprise Cisco Route/Switch. - Good Cisco Routing & Switching experience. - Low Level Design experience.
