Job description:
NSL manages outsourced services in highly regulated environments used by the public and has over 70 clients (including Transport for London, DVLA, Westminster City Council and many NHS Trusts) and employ 5,200 people to fulfil services for these contracts. Success has led NSL to create three specialist sectors dedicated to core markets; Central Government, Local Government and Health. Following a resignation after maternity, we are recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to be based in Westgate with limited UK travel. This role will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for management, statutory reporting, managing the balance sheet, reconciliations and controls. Key elements of the role: Preparation of year-end financial statements and supporting audit documentation, with responsibility of key areas of audit Management accounts for Central Overheads Preparation of monthly management accounts for the Board Review and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Corporate reporting including covenants preparation, review/preparation of VAT and PSA calculations, ONS returns, etc. Management of treasury accountant, ensuring bank postings are accurate and up to date Develop new finance procedures and optimise existing procedures Track capital expenditure spend and maintain forecast Review payroll and assist Payroll Department in analysis Perform adhoc internal audits across the business where required Cover for Financial Controller during holiday, including supervision of or advising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Be an active leader within the Group, supporting change and innovation, and being prepared to challenge to ensure shareholder value is maximised NSL is a fast moving Group, which requires high calibre personnel who are able to cope with the challenges and fun that this environment brings. The ideal candidate: Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with up to two years post qualified experience Excellent excel skills gained in delivering financial models and reports Experience of working in a multi site environment which requires local visits to meet with local operators Ability to work on a number of projects at the same time to tight deadlines Ability to work both on your own and as part of the Group’s overall finance team Ability to communicate with senior managers from both within and outside NSL In return for your time & hard work: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum Membership of the Group bonus scheme (up to 5% of salary) 25 days holidays plus statutory holidays Stakeholder Pension (up to 5% matching Group contribution after qualifying period) Interested?
