Roc Search's client is seeking a Senior Engineer for an excellent opportunity in Reading on a permanent basis. Looking for a technical mind who will actively contribute and lead the implementation and support of solutions and systems and provide out of hours support as part of an on call support function. Job Description. You will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent tasks with varying technologies in an exciting competitive environment. Exposure to a wide range of existing and emerging technologies working as part of a team to design, implement and support a range of hardware and software systems. *The role will manage and support products, services, systems and support infrastructure controls via on premise, cloud or co-located/managed platforms. *Working alongside other Engineers in maintaining applications and related systems in accordance with agreed priorities and standards. *To ensure that all technical documentation is kept up-to-date and to agreed standards. *Keep user documentation up-to-date and, where required, assist in the provision of training and support to users; ensure housekeeping procedures as adhered to. *Investigate user requirements for application and infrastructure changes, design and implement appropriate solutions. Requirements. *Design appropriate security mechanisms to protect all LAN based systems from Viri, and other relevant potential threats, in-line with the DMGT Security Baselines. *IT Development process in the provision of new and improved products and services via support to the DevOps function. To provide input on systems/operations technical architecture and solutions in order to continuous. *Contribute to major systems projects providing input into systems development alongside DevOps. *Conduct development and implementation tasks for Operations including project planning, analysis, designing, programming & developing, testing and debugging as required. *Conduct analysis of the Systems requirements of the organisation producing requirement specifications as needed and undertaking evaluations of software options. *Assist with the on-going troubleshooting and development of systems.
