Job description:
Principal/Senior Analogue/Mixed- Signal IC Design Engineer - Edinburgh. Our client is seeking a number of Senior Analogue/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineers to join their vast growing team in Edinburgh. Our team will be developing industry leading mixed-signal SOCs for consumer mobile audio markets. In this position you will be responsible for the development of analogue and mixed-signal circuitry for high performance mixed-signal audio processing IC's, You will have ownership of low-level cell design and be able to take block level design specifications/architectures and work independently in the circuit implementation. To be considered for this role you will have the following skills:-. - Relevant professional experience in mixed signal CMOS circuit design. - Strong knowledge of analogue integrated circuit design fundamentals on sub-micron CMOS processes, including knowledge of low geometry physical design constraints and issues. - Experience designing low-power / high-performance analogue building blocks with industry standard design tools. - Work independently on block level implementation and verification. - Strong numerical and analytical skills including an understanding of signal processing and analysis techniques, including DSP and/or analogue filter design. - Experience in floor-planning and supervision of circuit layout at the cell level. - Lab and silicon validation experience. - Proven experience of taking designs from concept to mass production with understanding of issues related to design for manufacture and production test. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience:. - An understanding, appreciation and passion for audio engineering. - Understanding of chip level integration including but not limited to ESD, latch-up and DFM. - Mixed signal modelling and verification. - Familiarity with analogue system modelling techniques and related accuracy trade-offs. - Proficient in circuit analysis, system theory and stability criteria. - Chip level floor-planning constraints and trade-offs.
