£21,692 - £24,063 Pro Rata This is an opportunity to join a Registered Care Home for service users with Mental Health illnesses. Established for 30 years they have enjoyed an excellent reputation for providing first class care. The care home specialises in a select sector of the mental health care providers field. They work with clients who are of the age of 50 and above and provide mental health care using a therapeutic approach. In order to enhance and contribute further to their excellent standard of care they are looking to recruit a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with up to date clinical skills to join their established and professional care team. This role offers a chance to become a key individual in a passionate and driven team. You will be given the opportunity to take the lead in the innovation of excellent mental health care and support. What is expected of you as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)? You are responsible for providing and supervising the delivery of high quality care to service users in accordance with up to date, evidence-based professional practice and company policies. You will be responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team; supervising and guiding care staff in providing the best quality of care to the service users within their community, the desire to learn and the ability to inspire your team are therefore essential. The responsibility of the role will include: • Hands on mental health nursing, actual making a difference • Administration of medication • Supervision of care staff • Writing and updating care plans • Review and audit of care plans and risk assessments • Liaison with the wider multi-disciplinary team of health care professionals in relation to resident care The successful candidate must have: • A Registered Mental Health Nursing Qualification • Valid NMC PIN • A proven clinical track record • Knowledgeable of the statutory requirements associated with care of the mentally ill • Excellent communication and time management skills • A passionate approach to care The position advertised will require you to work late shifts.
