Cambian Ansel, Nottingham Cambian Ansel, Nottingham, is a 24-bed clinic that delivers services in a secure environment for adult men who are subject to sections of the Mental Health Act, with complex mental health needs, challenging behaviours and personality disorders. Job Role In this role, you will interact in an appropriate way with the patients by teaching individual living skills and supporting them in day to day activities on the ward. You will help provide a safe therapeutic milieu that supports the therapeutic initiatives and function of the ward/unit and individual care plans. You will also carry out agreed nursing practices and procedures in accordance with the NMC Code of Practice. You will also provide training, mentoring and guidance to members of the staff team. Full induction training is given. Candidate Profile To be successful for this post, you will be a fully qualified Registered Nurse (RMN/RNLD) and have experience of working with vulnerable adults with mental health issues, preferably within a secure setting. You will have experience of formulation and care planning, and of writing reports in relation to MHA Tribunals and managers’ panels and so therefore a good understanding of the MHA and its applications in supporting patients would be desirable. Experience of supervising a staff team is also desirable. Successful candidates will have to meet the person specification in order to be offered this post.
