Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator Job Title: Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator Salary: £18-20k Benefits: 31 days holiday and free Parking Location: Ripon area The role of Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator is to ensure that product purchased from approved suppliers is delivered to the customer in the agreed time scale , to ensure Purchasing and Logistics team support to the Quality Department is executed. Logistics control, sales order processing and raising purchase orders on suppliers with focus on key customers Main Tasks: * To receive completed job packages from Quality Department. * To conduct contract review on purchase orders received. * To process customer orders and schedules. * To send order acknowledgements to the customers. * To raise purchase orders on suppliers both in the UK and overseas. * To enter orders onto company sales lists and Sage accounts system. * To control and monitor air and sea shipments, informing customers / sales team of any potential delays. * To liaise with the freight forwarders. * To ensure order acknowledgements are received from sub-contractors. * To produce customer stock and work in progress reports. * To control and monitor customer consignment stocks. * To provide delivery performance records.
