Project Design Engineer job. Leading mechanical engineering design and development projects from concept design, through test and validation and into production. Role would suit a Mechanical Engineer with experience of mechanical design / development projects. You will be the interface and point of contact between the customer, design, project management and related teams. The job will involve: · Being the interface and point of contact between the customer, Design, Project Management and all related teams. · Scheduling and management of project timescales and resources. · Leadership of design resource on a project by project basis. · Coordinating design reviews, checking and signing off CAD designs / drawings for manufacture. · Overseeing prototype, test, trials, validation and certification activities. This job will suit: · Experience of leading engineering projects from concept to manufacture. · Role would suit a Mechanical Engineer with previous mechanical design / development experience or at least good exposure to the design for manufacture process. · Good communicator, brings people together, when necessary can challenge how things are done and make improvements going forward. · You are likely to have a qualification in a mechanical engineering or similar discipline – preferably HND/Degree.  This job is commutable from Tiverton, Exeter, Axminster, Chard, Taunton, Seaton, Exmouth, Cullompton, Devon, Crediton, Axminster.
