Job description:
The applicant should be familiar with the Defence Lines of Development (DLoDs); have a current clean UK Driving Licence and expect regular long haul Travel between UK and KSA. Main Duties and Responsibilities:. - Working closely with colleagues who are planning and tracking progress of the Programme to ensure an up to date picture is maintained. - Ensuring that actions are progressed and highlighting areas where insufficient information is likely to cause a problem. - Pro-actively identifying likely problems which may hinder delivery and suggesting solutions to the Programme management. - Ensure that the Programme risk register is updated on a regular basis and that the information captured is up to date and can be reported on in an efficient manner. - Design and creation of highlight & checkpoint reports for Programme and Steering Boards (e.g. Programme dashboards; minutes and presentation slides). - Management of the product management and risk management processes. - Ensure that there is robust adherence to PPM processes including planning; risk management; dependency management and change control. - Management of the change control procedure. Scope:. - To provide a general Programme Management support. - Produce and Maintain: Concept of Operations and Framework Documents. Weekly Reports and Programme Status reports in various formats. Programmes, Timelines and Swimlane Diagrams. - Routes to Contract and Key Milestone Plans. Presentational Material. Action Lists, Risk Registers, Issues Logs and Master Data Assumptions Lists. - Support the Acquisition Programme Governance structure including support to the various Programme Boards. - Liaise with the various organisations and stakeholders. - Configuration management of key documents. - The successful applicant will ideally be PRINCE2 or equivalent qualified, but at least MAPM registered and/or have passed the Managing Success Programmes qualification and be a Microsoft Office Practioner (inc. Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio). - He / she will have a proven track record of successful programme management in a complex Sector or Environment e.g. Defence, Automotive, Power Generation and Distribution, the management of Railway infrastructure or the Construction industry.
