An exciting opportunity has arisen within the fast-paced, 10 bedded Coronary Care Unit, for a Band 5 to take up post. The successful candidate will be trained up to ALS standard, to carry the 2222 bleep and trained within some radiology skills to be able to assist with the insertion of Pacing Wires and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps. We have lots of in house training courses with a learning pathway for developing staff nurses. From doing your flying start, to the HDU course, then the Critical Care course and finally the Cardiac Rotation Programme alongside your everyday mandatory e-learning. If you are caring, enthusiastic, a team worker and highly motivated to develop, then this could be the job for you? Then CCU could be the place for you if you have previous acute experience, preferably within a Cardiology setting. CCU has a total of 10 beds, a cardiology procedure room to do ward pacing, temporary cardiac wire insertions and balloon pumps. The CCU unit holds the emergency 2222 bleep for the hospital and assists with opening the Cath labs out of hours. We provide level 2 care for cardiology patients within Grampian. It is a fast paced environment which is constantly changing and developing. You will be provided with in house training by the unit PEF. You will be required to work 12hour shifts, day & night rotation and weekend cover. An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
