Oracle DBA - MySQL DBA - Database Analyst - Liverpool - £40K. Oracle - DBA - MySQL - Linux - RedHat - ITIL - PL/SQL. My client are one of the market leaders in the software industry. From their Liverpool headquarters they are looking for an additional DBA with previous experience with Oracle or MySQL. Roles and responsibilities:. * Creation, maintenance and optimisation of all Database environments. * Creation, maintenance and optimisation of Database Monitoring and Database Backups & Recovery Procedures. * Configure, maintain and optimise Database network connectivity requirements. * Managing and reporting on database capacity (inc database space allocation) and performance. * Input into database design considerations and build/ release in line with design. * Schedule and monitor Database jobs. * Creation and maintenance of Database DR procedures. * Provide advice and guidance regarding OS and Database related matters. * Provide roadmaps for the environments - including hardware technologies, OS, applications and Database. * Day-to-day troubleshooting of performance issues and bug resolution. * Provision for visibility of processes, procedures and data to other Teams. * Liaison with other Departments as required for project implementation. Oracle - DBA - MySQL - Linux - RedHat - ITIL - PL/SQL. Skills required:. * Significant experience of working with MySQL and Oracle databases with strong preference for this being in a RedHat Linux environment. * Knowledge of databases particularly regarding performance tuning. * Methodical approach to problem solving Experience incident and problem management procedures (following ITIL work flow). * Experience in the use of Linux/Windows/Unix/Microsoft. * Experience of writing technical documentation. * Experience in developing requirements for monitoring of applications. * Ability to demonstrate the synergy between business service and software application. * Experience of MySQL stored procedures and Oracle PL/SQL.
