We help other businesses to find and develop their own apprentices whilst understanding some of the challenges businesses can face. We are currently seeking an Assessor with qualifications to deliver Facilities Management, Customer Service, Business Administration and Management, in Milton Keynes and Luton area circa 1.5 days per week. With excellent communication skills, the ability to motivate and encourage people, an interest in helping people develop, patience and tact you will have the ability to relate to people at all levels. Your day-to-day tasks will depend on the type of assessments you carry out but typically include: * Manage assessments for candidates, from assessment planning to making and recording assessment decisions as required by the awarding body. * Undertake work-based assessments to provide evidence of candidate competence against National Occupational Standards (NOS) and utilising the full range of assessment methods, including: observation of performance in the work environment; examining products of the learner’s own work; questioning the learner; discussions with the learner; use of others (witness testimony); looking at learner statements and recognition of prior learning. * Ensure the validity, authenticity, currency, reliability and sufficiency of evidence produced by candidates meets the national standard. * Maintain accurate and verifiable candidate assessment and achievement records as required by the awarding body. * Manage a personal caseload of candidates using the E-track portfolio database, including provision of information, advice and guidance as required and maintaining accurate reports and documentation including use of e-portfolios. * Complete and submit appropriate training documentation within specified timelines including Individual Learner Records (ILRs) for funding, in line with Skills Funding Agency requirements and Vocational Services Unit procedures. * Closely monitor performance and report any `red` or `amber` alert learners to the Performance Co-ordinator and IQA. Complete timely reviews, setting SMART targets for achievement with candidates and supervisors. * Ensure learner file is kept fully up to date with appropriately filed learner relevant documents. * Carry out workplace H&S checks and monitoring visits. * Attend standardisation meetings as required by the IQA. * Undertake all administrative duties involved with the qualification. To succeed in this role you will possess the following skills and experience; * Experience of assessing vocational qualifications in the sector subject area. * Relevant occupational qualifications. * Knowledge of the QCF frameworks. * Knowledge / experience of apprenticeships. * Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (preferred), A1 Assessor Award (or equivalent). * PTLLS or DTLLS (or equivalent) is desirable.
