We are seeing an experienced Network Deployment Engineer to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and competent Network Engineer to work within an hour of central London but avoid the daily city commute and enjoy a variety of Project based work. Reporting to the Network Deployment Manager you will be involved in the delivery of a broad range of network implementations including high profile deployments. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a highly paced role and able to work both as part of a team and independently as required. Applicants will have previous experience of working within an Enterprise Data Centre environment and be familiar with ITIL practices. About Capita | Updata. Interpret technical designs, plan and implement network changes on both live and pre-production infrastructure. Participation in production & review of low level designs (LLD) for network systems and/or solutions/builds that will be managed by the business. Build, project implementation, and handover to operational support of network systems and/or solutions operating on both client dedicated and multi-client platforms. Play a leading role in scheduling installation work, liaising with all concerned to ensure that installation priorities are met and disruption to the organisation is minimised, supervising all installation and maintenance work, ensuring that procedures are followed, and that documentation of the supported systems and platforms is available and in an appropriate form for operational support staff. Develop and maintain knowledge of the technical specialism taking an active part in appropriate professional and trade bodies, providing quality assurance, responsibility for quality standards and policies, and promoting transfer of knowledge and awareness of the technical specialism to those in closely-related areas, such as IT staff, clients/users and development teams. Provide a point of technical escalation for Deployment Engineering team members where required and ensure that less experienced Engineers receive appropriate support. Provide gap analysis with regard to team key technical skills to Deployment Engineer Manager to ensure training requirements are captured. Your experience will include:. Experienced working in a Data Centre environment. Eligible for SC Clearance. Experience working within an ITIL framework. Extensive experience of Cisco switching and routing. Extensive firewall experience (including Cisco ASA, PIX, Checkpoint, Juniper ISG/Netscreen etc). Good inter-personal skills. Is well organised and practical, with a logical, analytical approach to problem solving. Pays careful, close attention to detail. Desired Experience/Skills. Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCSP.
