Salary - Negotiable | Start Date - Careers with Hope - Hope Construction Fitter - East Scotland We are currently looking to recruit a mechanical maintenance fitter to join our production team in our East Scotland districts. The role covers a large geographical area including the central belt of Scotland, up to the Highlands. You will be responsible for developing a preventative maintenance system and carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure that our plants operate safely and reliably. You will also play a key hands on role in the planning and implementation of plant improvements. You will need to have the ability to quickly fault find and respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns. Some of your work will involve working with production colleagues on the telephone to understand issues and to provide advice, so your ability to communicate effectively is vital. This is a mobile role and so you will be required to be highly self motivated and flexible in your approach. Safety is our priority and you should be able to demostrate a proven and positive health and safety record including an ability to assess, document and mitigate risks. You will be provided with a van to travel between sites, so a full and clean drivers licence is essential. Experience in an industrial maintenance role will be a distinct advantage, as will a positive record and attitude towards health and safety, good communication and team working skills as well as fault finding, cutting, grinding and welding in addition to general maintenance activities.
