Job Ref. 697672BR Role Summary Marketing Effectiveness Analyst – Media Team - ­­­­­­­­­­Marketing Analyst – Data Analyst – Market Data Analyst – Campaign Analyst – Market Insight Evaluation – Media Evaluation The Asda Insights Team continues to grow; it’s a dynamic area where the Marketing Effectiveness Team take responsibility for delivering world class campaign analysis and insight to ensure the business understands the impact of our marketing and how to optimise it. Our Asda Media Partnership manages marketing of media in stores and online, working closely with these teams you will enable the business to understand and quantifying the impact of our marketing activity; evaluating post campaign data and marketing spend for trading categories and suppliers. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a similar analytical role and/or an analytical or statistical degree. It is essential that you are proficient in analytical packages such as SAS or SPSS. The Ins and Outs: The Marketing Effectiveness Analyst will be responsible for analysing customer data and making insight – led recommendations to the business. The specifics of the role include: - Building and running evaluation reports using a variety of systems including SAS and web analytic tool Omniture. - Proficiently interpreting data to make powerful commercial insights about marketing effectiveness - Presenting results, clearly and persuasively. Ability to bring to life information and insights in reports and verbal presentations - Optimising data available through a continuous quest to improve outputs for stakeholders and customers - Driving continuous improvements and efficiencies, making reports easier and simpler to run What you’ll need: This role demands the ability to see the bigger picture complimented by a high attention to detail and accuracy. It is key that you have the capability to draw together and interrogate data from numerous sources to drive actionable insight. Being flexible and competent using a variety of systems and evaluation tools will be crucial to your success. You may also possess: - A analytical or statistic degree is preferred - Strong numerical and analytical background, ability to synthesis information from a variety of sources and deliver real insight from data - A high level of technical skill ideally in SAS Enterprise Guide (or similar) and web analytics. Experience in 1 or more analytical packages a distinct advantage - Advanced Excel skills including the use of pivot tables - Comfortable in a database environment and understand SQL, with ability to write queries including case statements - Experience of customer behaviour analytics and segmentation - Strong customer focus - Strong and persuasive communicator, ability to deliver powerful and impactful insights clearly and concisely both in reports and verbally - Ability to build strong relationships and manage stakeholders effectively - Must be numbers focused and have a keen eye for detail. - Highly organised and able to manage and prioritise workload - Flexible approach to workload - Some marketing background and knowledge of CRM is desirable Business Unit About our Home Office We're very proud of our Yorkshire roots and Asda House, our Home Office, is still in Leeds.
