MARINE SERVICE ENGINEER, DORSET BASED - £40,000-£42,000 A leading Engineering company is currently recruiting for a Service Engineer who will be Home Based but within commutable distance of their site in Poole This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual with high customer care standards. The Service Engineer will provide field services, commissioning and maintenance of their marine products throughout UK and Internationally. The main responsibilities will include site surveys and assessments, maintenance and repairs to company equipment, electrical and mechanical service and commissioning, and providing timely reports and accurate feedback to the Service Manager. You will also assist with workshop repairs as well as support other departments and customers in mechanical/electrical matters. You will be expected to be proactive and provide recommendations for improvements. We expect you to at all times represent the company's interests while interacting with customers and to work in a manner that promotes the company's values. The Marine Service Engineer will to have a good general mechanical/electrical engineering background incorporating a basic understanding of electrical control systems. Previous experience and product knowledge on board large vessels, ships etc is required. The role requires the applicant to have good communication and team working skills as well as excellent problem solving ability and system understanding. The position is mainly field based with regular visits to the Poole office. Valid driving licence and passport are required. A fantastic package, including a base salary of circa £40-42K depending on experience discounted private medical cover, pension, 25 days holiday.
