We are currently looking for qualified Accountants at Manager Level to join our thriving Financial Services Audit department in Banking, Insurance and Funds. Based in our head office in London, you will be part of a collaborate team in a fast pace and challenging environment. As an Audit Manager in FS, you will be expected to in-charge large global clients, delivering audit engagements from planning through to completion. You are required to posses well developed supervisory skills including coaching and project management. Roles and Responsibilities - You will have your own portfolio of clients with responsibility for agreeing audit timetables, briefing the audit team, including other specialists, monitoring budgets and supervising the KPMG audit process. This will include planning and carrying out audit fieldwork, statutory reporting and project management. - Supervising and coaching junior members of staff. - Keeping senior managers and partners up to date with progress throughout the course of the assignment. - Preparing reports to senior management and audit committees. - On-site involvement and being the key point of contact. - Keeping up to date with KPMG's product and service offerings and helping to identify sales opportunities within your client base. Qualifications and Skills required - You must be professionally qualified with ACA, ACCA or CPA (or recognised international equivalent) - Significant audit experience including practical experience with a Big 4 firm - Extensive audit experience within the financial services sector - Preferred but not essential to have strong knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP exposure - Strong project management techniques including decision-making ability, analytical skills, time management, organisation and evaluative skills - Proven leadership skills and ability to act as a role model. As well as developed supervisory skills e.g. coaching and motivation and experience an audit team - Drive and resilience and ability to thrive in a pressured environment - Strong English communication skills both written and verbal - Proven research skills e.g. information seeking and knowledge sharing, understanding and interpreting information/applying knowledge - Able to demonstrate strong business development acumen Opening Date: 2nd February 2016 Closing Date: 1st March 2016 Salary: £48,000 - £60,000 plus negotiable benefits depending on experience.
