The successful candidate will come from a mechanical maintenance/fitter background, those from manufacturing, chemical, service or mechanical fitter background are encouraged to apply. It is essential you have a strong comprehension of pumps and conveyors, any electrical competency is a bonus. Those who have completed an apprenticeship will be a strong advance, City and Guilds desirable. The company are extremely open in terms of skill and experience as they will provide you with 6 to 12 months of training on their bespoke equipment. You will enjoy the benefit of working for a small, friendly engineering team. There is also opportunity for you to complete mobile elevating, forklift truck and confined space training. The role is predominantly reactive maintenance, you will be accountable for diagnosing and repairing faults. The company have a PPM schedule in place and you will on occasion be involved in project work. You will be working on the likes of pumps, mixers, reactors and fluid storage tanks.
