The role: As an organisation we are investing heavily in leading growth technology such as Big Data, Cloud and Cyber security. Due to these investments, we have secured a number of new key wins and require further project management talent to assist in delivering fantastic technology solutions for our private and public sector clients. The successful candidates will work within our newly formed PM Delivery hubs, within a team of 5 or 6 other Project Managers, reporting to one of our Hub Team Leads. The successful Project Manager will be delivering 5-10 small to medium size projects concurrently to a variety of external customers across the CSC Portfolio. The objectives for the PM Delivery Hub are to improve quality, increase responsiveness, balance demand, reduce cost and improve competitiveness. Are you ready to join the team? Please note, all our Project Managers will be expected to be on-site at one of our hubs full-time (5 days per week) and be flexible to travel to other sites when required. All Project Managers should be able to demonstrate experience leading or supporting on small to medium sized IT Infrastructure and Application projects and have had full budget responsibility on projects in the past (including tracking and reconciliation). Essential Job Functions Under the management of the Hub Team Lead, we require the Infrastructure Project Managers to fulfill the following: · Ensure adherence to the CSC PM methodology. · Prepare Project Proposals and Project Initiation documentation. · Identifies, assesses, manages and communicates risks and issues pertaining to the success of the project · Escalates matters of significance as appropriate. · Prepares realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracks activities against the project schedule, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate · Manages the budget (cost, price, timescales, levels of resources, and manages through the change control procedure where these deviate from agreed tolerances · Provide reports/updates to appropriate management, boards and committees · Provides effective leadership to the project team and takes appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. · Ensures that projects are formally closed and where appropriate, subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are recorded Basic Qualifications · Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (IT, Engineering or Business Admin degrees preferred) · Good experience working as a Project Manager, Including:- · Experience in Project Planning and scheduling · Experience in management of Third party supplier relationships · Experience taking full budget responsibility · Good commercial acumen · Experience of managing teams in a Matrix environment · Experience of building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels. · Understanding of stakeholder Relationship and management · Experience of requireme
