Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Location: London Salary: Negotiable Hours: Permanent, Full Time The company are a leading virtualisation and cloud solution specialist based in London. They are a Tier 1 provider operating their own multi-location IP network and managed cloud infrastructure. They are looking for a senior network engineer who will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the core network infrastructure hosted in several datacentres as well as customer networks. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading cloud service provider whose client base consists mainly of financial institutions. Key Responsibilities: * Maintain and enhance the core network infrastructure including the inter-datacentre circuits, Internet breakouts, firewall and Border Gateway Router designs and implementation. * Participate in the development, implementation and testing of network disaster recovery procedures * Liaise with infrastructure suppliers to coordinate new implementations and maintenance of existing WAN infrastructure * Participate in the planning and implementing of datacentre moves including the migration of VPNs and NATs * Proactive monitoring and performance improvement of current network infrastructure. * Support and enhance the existing perimeter infrastructure * Be able to work outside of contracted hours for internal maintenance or customer implementations when required * Schedule and perform network maintenance during weekends and evenings as agreed with IT senior management * Adhere to ITIL best practice procedure in relation to all aspects of change and configuration management * Own networking problems and escalate to external vendors as required * Creation and maintenance of systems documentation and network topology diagrams *...
