An established an enviable global reputation as a manufacturer and supplier of precision parts in the South West are urgently looking for a Permanent Quality Inspector. The company distributes a range of precision products around the UK and abroad in Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Oil industries to some of the most well-known and established businesses including GKN and Rolls- Royce. The company were originally a small family owned business and have not long ago gone through a merger but have still retained that family atmosphere. As the Quality Inspector you need to be capable of reading engineering drawings and dimensional inspection using measuring equipment. * Manual Inspection of first off items, including batches of components using standard measuring equipment * Experience in all areas of Inspection including Machine In-Process patrols ,Goods Inwards, Sub-Contract &Final Inspection * Generation of FAIR Inspection reports [where required]* Conversant with engineering drawings and applied geometric tolerances * CMM Programming and operation * Good experience in the Inspection of treated/plated/coated components * Positive attitude with 'Can Do' approach &good communicator * Good Team player and work ethic * Able to work on own initiative and engage machine operators * You will need to be aware of EH&S issues. * Adhering to working practices ≺ocedures. * Keeping up to date with day to day operations/new/existing products. Salary on offer is £25,000 but flexible negotiable depending on experience with numerous benefits They are ideally looking for a candidate from a manufacturing background with experience in working to AS9100, but they will consider any other experience in other regulated industries such as Automotive, Defence, Oil and Gas.
