Job Title: Interior Designer Job Grade: Full Time Employee Location: Leeds Reporting Structure: Studio Manager / Director Salary: £Competitive remuneration package BACKGROUND An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small, dynamic team within our award-winning Design company in Leeds. As well as experience in the design and delivery of projects, the candidate will need good all round experience with particular expertise in the hotel & leisure sector, together with retail, office and general space planning knowledge. PURPOSE To compliment the existing Interiors team and help develop Interiors as an integral part of the Group. The opportunity to progress within the company is encouraged. SKILLS Self-motivated and talented individual. Able to work independently and as part of a larger team. Ability to visualise concepts and explain them to others. Good drawing and IT skills. Creativity and imagination and an eye for design. An interest in changing trends in design. Able to consult with architects on a daily basis as well as advising clients on design and best practice. Able to utilise excellent organisational skills, to ensure each project is completed on time and within budget. Have awareness of technical building issues, and an extensive knowledge of relevant products and materials. Be a strong communicator and able to present and negotiate effectively. Have experience as a competent space planner. Experience in organising workflows, managing projects, fees etc. Maintain excellent client contacts. Excellent AutoCad skills. (Revit skills beneficial but not essential) Experience in NBS - Specification writing at an intermediate level or above. Co-ordinating tender information packages. Managing projects on site. Dealing with and managing other consultants within the project team. QUALIFICATIONS The candidate need to be qualified with a degree and, ideally, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Designers.
