Job description:
Head of Systems and Development. Glasgow. My client, a leading financial institution in central Glasgow are looking to make a Senior appointment to the Applications and Systems side of the organisation. You will have a good broad range of knowlede across the relevant technologies listed below, but more importantly, you will have the ability to manage managers, motivate large development teams and inspire technical innovation throughout the organisation. You will be heavily involved in application strategy and architecture, ideally with some experience of off-shoring. Full knowledge of the SDLC is essential, as is Agile / Waterfall methodologies. You will be highly credible, able to liaise, negotiate and present to senior stakeholders, and make business critical decisions on an Enterprise scale. Relevant Experience:. - SDLC. - Agile / Waterfall. - ITIL. - Senior Management experience. - Management of R & D. - Management of project portfolios. - Management of budgets. - Management and design of application strategy. Technical Experience:. - Websphere. - SQL. - Financial Services integration tools. Key Soft Skills. - An inspiring and motivating communicator. - A natural leader. - Passionate about technology and its implication the organisation. - A flair for thinking outside of the box. The succesful candidate will be joining a very succesful and growing financial organisation. You will be entering the business at a senior level, reporting to the IT Director and working alongside the Head of Delivery. An ability to manage multiple teams, over numerous projects is absolutely key for success in this position.
