Morgans Hotel and Restaurant are looking to add to their team due to demand and popularity within the Restaurant and are seeking experienced a Restaurant Supervisor/ Team Leader to join their team   The Team Leader will assist the Food & Beverage Manager and General Manager in the day to day running of the hotel Restaurant, ensuring that it is a profit driven, customer focussed, team orientated operation.   It is essential that candidate comes from busy profit led food & beverage outlet, ideally with hotel industry experience. Candidate needs to be highly motivated and passionate about the industry.   Responsibilities include * To ensure that the restaurant and bar area is fully set up before each shift and all mis-en-place is maintained. * To ensure that all food and beverages are served correctly, professionally and promptly in accordance with restaurant standards. * To carry out the cleaning schedule as directed by the restaurant manager. * To cash up at the end of each shift. * To endeavour to minimise all restaurant and bar costs and maximise profitability while providing a high quality service at all times.        * To be aware of and adhere to prevailing legislation in relation to the service of food and drink, reporting any deviations to the Restaurant Manager or General Manager. * To anticipate the needs of customers. * To ensure that all guests are made welcome, receive excellent service and are encouraged to return. * To ensure that service is consistently delivered by all team members. * To meet, greet and seat all customers in a prompt, friendly and professional manner. * To deal with any customer queries that may arise in a professional and efficient manner, making sure to notify the Hotel General Manager of any problems that have occurred. * To ensure that all customer feedback is effectively communicated to the Deputy General Manager. * To ensure that the restaurant environment is clean, tidy and pleasant at all times. * To help work towards hotel standards manual and endeavour to exceed company standard in the mystery guest audit.   Communication, Teamwork and Leadership:   * To promote a pro-active, team building environment throughout the restaurant and ensure inter departmental co-operation. * To lead by example specifically with regard to personal presentation, hygiene, punctuality, attendance, application to work, team work and customer care. * To effectively communicate and co-ordinate shift arrangements on a daily basis.   Health and Safety:   * To be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all customers and employees. * To act in accordance to the hotel’s fire regulations and procedures and to understand and carry out any action in the event of an emergency. * To ensure all team members are aware and comply with legal and statutory requirements relating to hygiene, fire, health and safety. * To ensure that all areas are consistently kept to the highest standards of maintenance and cleanliness. * To record all accidents and report them to the Health & Safety Officer. * To be aware of company insurance details and procedures.   Human Resources:   * To assist the Restaurant Manager in the preparation and implementation of departmental training plans. * To assist the Restaurant Manager with on going departmental training. * To report all personnel issues to the General Manager.
