Our clients that specialise in Civils/Groundworks require an estimator to carry out all pre-construction / works pricing as well as sourcing material prices and other costs to ensure that tenders are successful and projects won remain on track in terms of margin. The contracts typlicaly value circa £500k. You should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the estimating/pricing/tendering process associated with construction work - especially civils/ground/water works. You should also be able to demonstrate a strong ability to use MS Excel, Powerpoint and Project. Any ability to use Valesco is a stong advantage. Other skills required include:. - Understanding drawings. - Report writing. - Numeracy. - The ability to visit sites UK-Wide.
