Job description:
Advert Working as a key member of the Roads and Transportation Service you will assist in the delivery of one of the key functions of the service. The post is in the Projects team dealing with the design and implementation of capital improvement and maintenance schemes. You will work directly to the Senior Engineer, assisting the delivery of effective service provision and communication whilst promoting positive team working. Applicants require to have a degree in an appropriate numerate discipline plus 2 years post-graduate experience or professional qualification to at least Incorporated Engineer level, experience of roads and transportation engineering, project management skills and experience of managing projects, working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software and a full driving licence. Experience in supervising staff, a working knowledge of H&S legislation and a high degree of understanding relating to frontline risk management and contract management although not essential is desirable.
