SOUTH TEES HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST Planned Care Centre Endoscopy Unit – SOUTH TEES INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY Band 7 – Endoscopy Unit Manager Full time 37.5 hours per week Permanent An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Endoscopy Unit Manager to join the endoscopy team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work across both the James Cook University Hospital site in Middlesbrough and the Friarage Hospital site in Northallerton. South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust welcomes innovation and is an organisation committed to supporting the growth and development of its employees. Our three endoscopy rooms are all JAG accredited and is known for its networking and close working relationships between our clinicians/endoscopists, endoscopy manager, nursing and administrative teams. We offer a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including; Upper and Lower GI Endoscopy – Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexi Sigmoidoscopy , ERCP, PEG’s and Bronchoscopy. Additionally to the upper and lower GI endoscopic procedures offered in our Endoscopy Department, we provide a GI Physiology service, offer Endoscopic Ultrasound Scan EUS, surveillance for Barrett's Oesophagus and Endo Bronchial Ultrasound EBUS As the successful candidate you will be expected to provide clinical, professional and managerial leadership for the Endoscopy Unit team. You will be a key member of the team and will facilitate the delivery of the ambitious objectives of the unit. You will be responsible and accountable for the operational management of the unit in order to do this you will be expected to demonstrate management and leadership skills by way of innovation, collaboration, facilitation of change, staff engagement, motivation and development. You will ensure a positive patient experience by securing and assuring the highest standards of clinical care with the support of the Clinical Matron and Associate Director of Nursing and furthermore providing effective management of clinical and non-clinical risk reporting to the Service Manager within the Directorate Clinical Governance Framework.
