EBD Class Teacher in a PRU unit Full time, Contract role with a view to becoming permanent Starting in Easter 2016 Pay from £140 /day depending on experience A Special Needs School in Essex is seeking to appoint a specialist EBD Teacher to join their PRU unit from Easter 2016. This position has arisen due to increased headcount on the school roll and the opening of an additional class to support this group. All applicants must have recent experience teaching students with a range of special educational needs, ideally within a specialist SEN environment. The class consists of five pupils with a broad range of challenging behaviour. You would be working alongside two very experienced LSAs who are very supportive, friendly and hardworking. The ideal candidate would have: A proven record of teaching SEN students with a range of needs A good understanding of EBD The ability to prepare and teach effective lessons taking into account the individual needs of learners Have a basic understanding of PECS and Makaton Full teacher status Registered DBS or be prepared to carry out a new DBS application.
