JEL Direct is an Outerwear supplier to the High street. We supply to many of the fast fashion retailers on the high street. We are currently looking for a designer with previous experience to join our busy London office, preferable this designer will have experience in designing outerwear but it is not necessary. This role is exciting and challenging and is suitable for someone that is ready to move up in their career ladder. The ideal candidate should be confident and is able to work competently by her/himself.  There will be travelling (within the UK and abroad) opportunities within this role.   The duties of the role are listed below;   ·      Develop samples/fabrics/trims/prints/knit. ·      Competition shopping in the UK or abroad. ·      Factory visiting ·      Trend researching ·      Attending customer meetings and following up the work. ·      Following/keeping track of samples from design pack through to sales ·      Ensure sample’s schedule is updated on a weekly basis to ensure all delays are communicated. ·      Ensure all fabric/samples/paperwork is filled ·      Monitor and control sourcing and sampling. ·      Ensure the allocated client accounts are followed and are up to date. ·      Ensure customers and factories are communicated efficiently during sampling process to avoid delays ·      Sending sample requests to factories ·      Help sending samples to buyers ·      General admin duties ·      Ensure showroom is presentable to clients. ·      Assist seniors in the Production and Design team to ensure deadlines are met.

Minimum salary: 21000

Maximum salary: 25000
