Data Manager Information Services (Fixed Term for 2 years) Grade 6 £26,537 - £31,656 per annum   To promote a flexible workforce, the University will consider applications from individuals seeking full time, part time, job share, or term time only working arrangements.   Information Services is creating a new post to take responsibility for a range of data processing operations relating mainly to the student admissions and student records functions.  Working alongside a team of systems developers, this post holder will undertake data management operations including mass data updates, data quality checks, financial processing and creating data extracts.   Using analytical and problem solving skills, the post-holder will investigate data anomalies and data processing errors, identify their causes and specify solutions.  They will also work with staff within and outside the university to understand and document data processing requirements.   The successful applicant will be competent in the use of SQL and will be experienced in working with complex databases, preferably Oracle.  He/she will also have a good understanding of university admissions processes and student records and will understand the processes involved in the student record lifecycle.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of prioritising work across multiple projects and of meeting strict deadlines.     Equally important is a meticulous attention to detail together with excellent written and oral communications skills.   Ref: IS.15.18 Closing Date: 2 March 2016 Interview Date: 15 March 2016   For information and application forms please go to     We are a Bilingual Institution which operates a Welsh Language scheme and is committed to Equal Opportunities.   APPOINTMENTS ARE NORMALLY MADE WITHIN 4-8 WEEKS OF THE CLOSING DATE.
