Trainee / Graduate Data Analyst - Fareham area - £20k - £25k + benefits. As a Trainee / Graduate Data Analyst, you will be responsible for presentation of complex data in a manner which is both easy to understand and mathematically valid. Working closely with customers to discover and report insights. Once you are fully trained and have a good understanding of the systems, you will also have an opportunity to provide internal support and training on data analytics. You will be working for an established software house who focus on analysing and representing data for businesses across the world. They have recently moved into new offices (a big break out area, quiet places to code, meeting rooms and a tech lab). They are mainly an Open Source software house and contribute to the community. The data you will be working on will have a real, tangible, impact on people and will make a difference to people's lives. To be successful for this Trainee / Graduate Data Analyst role you need the following (academic / personal / commercial) experience:. * Understanding of statistics. * Ability to communicate statistical concepts. * Ability to transform database content into information-rich presentations (including graphs). * Ability to tactfully manage customer expectations. Any experience of the following, is desirable but NOT essential :. * Database structures. * Creation of SQL queries. * Business Intelligence (BI) tools. * Querying big data tools. * Python. As a Trainee / Graduate Data Analyst, you will be trained to do the following duties:. * Monitor and actively work to resolve support tickets. * Manage statistical reports in the form of dashboards, interactive reports and static PDF files. * Explore data and generate reports. * Testing and resolving issues where able in statistical representations. * Recommend features and improvements to enhance customer experience based on feedback obtained. * Testing and providing feedback on new feature developments. * Analyse website logs to discover customer usage. * Recommend new data analysis approaches where applicable.
