Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Analyst / BI Analyst. My leading Cheltenham based software house client is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join their Business Intelligence team. This team support their Business Intelligence proposition by conceiving, designing and executing regular/adhoc reports and services to users of their products, as well as supporting internal teams with reporting and analysis. This is an exciting role, with an opportunity to contribute significantly as their Business Intelligence proposition has grown rapidly in recent years, with new products being developed to meet customer needs, driven by a focus on innovation. The Role:. - Deliver daily, weekly and monthly bespoke Business Intelligence reports and services to external customers in line with Service Level Agreements to support the revenue generating Business Intelligence proposition. - Drive the Business Intelligence proposition forward by designing and creating new functionality within the regulatory framework. - Maintain and deliver reports which are sent out to external customers as part of their membership agreements. - Support internal teams with regular and bespoke Business Intelligence reports which will drive their business goals . This will support their business priorities and monitor Key Performance Indicators of their existing and new services and products. - Maintain and further develop web-based interactive Business Intelligence services. - Work closely with the IT Operations data team to ensure underlying infrastructure is suitable for Business Intelligence reporting requirements. - Represent the team at external customer meetings when appropriate. Candidates Must Have:. - A qualification in statistics, mathematics, operational research or a related discipline. - Demonstrable analytical and technical skills with the ability to uncover patterns of behaviour and relationships. - The ability to convey potentially complex messages in a simple and straightforward manner. - An enquiring mind and self-starter attitude with the confidence to challenge the way things are done and bring innovation to the role. - The ability to manage and prioritise a changeable workload to best meet the needs of customers. - Experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and an aptitude to learning programming languages and Business Intelligence technologies. - The ability to integrate information from different sources and draw inferences and conclusions.
