Job description:
JOB DUTIES : Credit control and debt management functions. Assisting with payroll preparation, collating employee timesheet data. Processing receipts and payments. Administrative duties in a busy office environment. Cash / till reconciliation. Assist with Purchase Ledger when required. Sales ledger / processing Support the Accountant in the maintenance of computerised accounting systems. Produce various reports for Management. Provide cover for Accounts Administrator roles in the event of holidays and absence. Provide administrative support to our contracts department on a daily basis. Observe and comply with all good working practices within the office. Ad hoc accounts and clerical duties. Operating computer packages (Microsoft / Word / Outlook). Please note position is for Maternity Cover subject to review with possible extension to a permanent position. OTHER INFO : Hours Per Week: 16 - 30 hours per week Daily Hours: Negotiable Rate £8.20 per hour Please note position is for Maternity Cover subject to review with possible extension to a permanent position. Essential Qualifications: The successful candidate should have 3+ years experience in an Accounting Technician/Assistant Accountant role. An Accounting Technician qualification or similar is desirable, but significant experience within the accounts function carrying out similar duties will be considered. Essential Experience: Knowledge of Accounting and payroll software such as SAGE. Experience with financial and management reporting systems and processes in a private sector environment. Experience in the preparation of management accounts. Experience with the management of cash flow, financial projections and credit control. Experience in the use of Sage 50 Accounts, Sage. Payroll, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email.
