An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly, caring and highly motivated individual to join our team within Oncology ward 114 as a Senior Health Care Support Worker (Band 3). We are looking for applicants who are keen to learn and develop in their role, confident in decision making, with good time management, administrative and IT skills. Candidates must be good team players with the ability to work on their own initiative and should possess excellent inter-personal communication skills as the role will involve supporting Band 2 HCSW’s. Previous experience in an Oncology setting working with patients and relatives during sometimes difficult and challenging circumstances would be desirable. This is a part-time position working 22.5hrs per week. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a HNC or SVQ 3 qualification in health related studies, with acute hospital experience.
