Our client, a Top 20 firm, are looking for a Corporate Tax Senior for their Peterborough office. The Role Working as part of the firms leading tax team, you will assist the tax director in all aspects of the tax compliance process on a dedicated corporate tax portfolio and will receive assistance in developing tax planning and advisory skills The role will include but is not limited to; Client Work * Complete corporation tax returns for clients following agreed procedures * Delegate to more junior members of staff and assist with their corporate tax knowledge * Prepare client letters advising on corporate matters * Highlight issues and problems for the attention of the tax director or tax partner * Oversee tax administration in the office * Ensure work is completed to a high standard * Assist the tax partners with project work and develop advisory skills Staff Development * Develop communications and inter:personal skills * Keep up to date on technical reading * Attend relevant courses * Provide technical assistance to more junior staff Communication with staff * Delegate tasks clearly * Review work prepared by junior staff where appropriate * Record clearly and concisely work carried out for high level review * Keep partner informed of any problems encountered and ensure all deadlines are met Client Liaison * Establish relationships with key clients; * Resolve queries as they arise * Obtain information and explanations from clients * Visit clients as appropriate on key jobs * Be able to identify any cross selling or advisory work The Candidate * Fully or part CTA qualified * Strong accountancy knowledge, preferably ACA qualified * Keen to progress your career as part of a leading tax team for this Corporate Tax Senior role, please or contact Nicholas Peer at AJ Chambers
