A position has become available for a full or part-time Cook to join this highly regarded Residential Home in Duffield, surrounded by beautiful countryside and overlooking the Derwent Valley yet still easily accessible from Derby, Belper and other surrounding areas. Catering for around 25 residents, they pride themselves on providing delicious and varied meals with fresh ingredients. The successful candidate should have some of the following: Experience cooking meals from scratch for a large number of people. Have a passion for fresh good home cooking. Used to working in a commercial kitchen, although large group/ family cooking experience will be considered. Proven formal training desirable, but not necessarily essential for the right candidate. The ideal person will prepare and cook lunch and prepare what is normally a light tea time meal, whilst helping to maintain a clean workstation and kitchen environment. Depending on applications this could be a full or part-time positions that may require you to work some weekends, although at the moment they do have weekend Cooks. There is also flexibility for a full-time Cook to have a day off within the week. You will be paid hourly with good rates of pay depending on experience and capability.
