Our client - a leading civil construction sub-contractor is looking for an experienced contract manager to join their ever expanding team in the central belt. Reporting straight to the directors this would be a great opportunity for a senior project manager looking for a step-up, or an experienced contract manager looking for more responsibility and the chance to use their skills to expand the business more.Key Responsibilities:-Assist in the preparation of monthly budgets and manage expenditure within agreed budgets-Create tender documents for client appraisal working within budget terms -Explore expansive methods within region pro-actively tendering for ventures beneficial to company development -Ultimately ensure that each statutory compliance obligation is invariably met with regards to applicable plant and equipment-Ensure that a highly skilled and disciplined workforce is maintained within a safe system of work-Ensure that the Training matrix is kept up to date and returned monthly - maintain a register of competencies for each member of staff employed and ensure that records of training are maintained-Prioritise the use of resources both direct and indirect-Produce operational reports & attend monthly/quarterly/annual meetings to present contract performance overview-Ensure compliance with all KPIs and SLAs within the agreed framework-Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Client liaison & reports and meetings, Formal Site Meetings (weekly/monthly) with Client and Weekly site team briefing meetings with site teams as required-Provide advice, guidance and support on contract matters when requiredKey Skills and Qualifications:-Degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject (i.e. Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management)-Proven experience in a similar role-Commercially aware within sector-Fully conversant with current Health & Safety, CDM and statutory building regulations-Management experience of leading a team and understanding of working with contractual requirements and KPIs-Possess excellent team leader skills and a professional nature-Strong communication skills, both verbal and written-Proficient IT skills (including Office Suite, MS Project Manager)Experienced background within waste water & sewage industry would be very advantageous - but not necessary.The role will be desk based with minimal on-site interaction. Remuneration is negotiable dependant on relevant experience - package includes car allowance, fuel/travel and competitive pension contribution.
