North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust   In Hospital Care Directorate   Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine     Applications are invited for a substantive post of Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine to work within the Trust in the University Hospitals of North Tees and Hartlepool.   North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is a progressive, forward thinking organisation, providing acute and community services to the population of Stockton-on Tees, Hartlepool, East Durham and the surrounding areas including a large part of Sedgefield, with a budget of £141 million and 4770 employees.   The successful applicant will contribute to the specialist diabetes and endocrine services of the Trust in both in-patient and out-patient settings. He/she will be working with the rest of the multi-professional specialist team in developing the existing services, ensuring timely management of referrals, optimising integrated care pathways, and facilitating the movement of a proportion of care into a community setting.   In addition, the successful applicant will provide clinical sessions within the Ambulatory and Emergency Assessment Units managing unselected acute medical admissions and contribute to the acute medical on-call rota   The post will be offered for 10 PA’s under the Terms and Conditions of Service for Consultants (England) 2003.
