PHLEBOTOMIST PERMANENT POST BAND 2 Working 30hrs hours per week Marple and Werneth Locality Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Community Nursing has a reputation for providing quality of care and a willingness to invest in the education and support of its staff. We provide in house training alongside clinical supervision. We are looking for a flexible, innovative person who is able to undertake venepuncture and has experience of caring within the community setting. This individual would be an excellent team player, working under the direction of a senior nurse within a district nursing team, adhering to local Trust guidelines and policies. The post-holder will be responsible for performing venepuncture within the community setting and transporting the samples to a named base ready for collection by pathology services. This post requires good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to be adaptable, reliable and approachable. The post holder will need to be a car driver and will need to have the use of a car for their work. The vacancy is with the Marple/Werneth district nursing teams. With the expectation the post holder would support other district nursing teams in Stockport if the need arose. At the end of the 12 week probationary period you will be informed at your final review meeting if you have successfully completed the Care Certificate, this will be confirmed with you in writing. On successful completion you will be transferred onto a permanent contract with the Trust.
