Commissioner and Funder Lead We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our growing team as we enter the next phase of becoming a national charity, and to lead on our work with funders and commissioners. The team currently consists of a Chief Executive, a Youth Organisations Manager, who leads on provider training and validations, an Academics and Experts Lead, who oversees our programme of research placements, as well as wider relationships with experts, and a Programme Administrator, who also leads on communications. Job Purpose and Responsibilities To develop and manage the delivery of Project Oracle’s engagement with funders and commissioners as champions of evidence-based commissioning. This includes: Strategy and planning To develop and implement the strategy for engaging and supporting funders and commissioners to work with Project Oracle to build an understanding of what works in the sector. Managing the Evidence Champion programme To develop the programme for an additional 15 Evidence Champions in London in the coming year, and to develop and maintain contact with the 39 alumni of the scheme Engagement with Funders and Commissioners To engage and integrate funders and commissioners into other Project Oracle work streams, in particular our Impact Pioneer cohorts – intensive work over 9-12 months with a small number of youth organisations working in a particular area, e.g. arts or crime, Events To manage the design and delivery of events which support the engagement of funders and commissioners with the wider work and aims of Project Oracle. Other workstreams Co-ordinating with the Youth Organisations Development Manager and the Academics & Researcher Lead to ensure consistent approaches across all our work streams. To draw on their support and to contribute to training and validations as required in order to meet our overall targets. Person specification This role would suit someone with evaluation experience and an interest in the youth sector looking to manage and lead the growth of a significant work-stream. We are looking for someone who has the following knowledge and experience: Essential • Postgraduate academic study (minimum Masters degree with dissertation) • Experience of using social research methods and evaluation techniques, analysing data, and writing related reports (either professionally or as part of an academic dissertation/PhD) •Strong understanding of the children and youth sector and of relevant research in this area •Experience of bringing together senior stakeholders • Experience of delivering training and managing delivery of events as well as the following essential skills: •Excellent team player •Excellent communication skills including the ability to summarise and communicate research findings to a non-specialist audience •Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities • Good interpersonal skills and able to develop effective relationships within Project Oracle and externally • Advanced IT skills with working knowledge of all Word packages Details Contract: This is a full-time permanent position.
