Commercial Manager - Clean Water Networks North. Reports to: Head of Finance and Commercial. Role Responsible for: Commercial Managers, Project Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Graduate Quantity Surveyors, Trainee Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Administrators. Location: London. Role (Main Purpose):. Accountable for all commercial activities within their region, with regards to Opex activities, including Price Review activities for Ofwat and shareholder assurance. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:. * Accountable for all commercial activities within their region, including Price Review activities for Ofwat and shareholder assurance. * Play a lead role, providing input and direction to, and support for the identification & resolution of generic business issues. * Plays a key role in delivering and developing the ROI fund within both their own region and the wider Alliance. * Build key relationships with Finance and Delivery counterparts. * Ensure all works are compliant with the Alliance contract. * Play key role in developing the overall commercial model, and in the development of this model as the water industry moves into a competitive environment in 2017. * Work with Stakeholders and developers to create new commercial opportunities and contracts. * Lead all commercial activities for delivery stages and Management of team. * Thorough understanding and ownership of commercial position and issues for the region. * Establish robust relationships with Head of Delivery and Regional Customer Delivery Managers. * Take a lead role to ensure cash forecasting is accurate and timely. * Input into IA procurement events. * Provide commercial staff, through Agility, KCD and Thames Water to support the alliance business. * Ensure teams are monitoring commercial performance, ensuring robust forecasting and stakeholder engagement. * Ensure that all work fully complies to the alliance assurance and SODA policies. * Ensure that Works / Service orders in place for all Works. * Assist in the development and agreement of a business plan. * Provide clarification/resolution of commercial conflicts. * Ensure commercial information provided at all stages is comprehensive and of the required quality. * Establish levels of communication with client groups, other colleagues & external bodies. * Awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental issues. * Provide feedback to the commercial teams on future developments. * Share learning points both within own team the alliance and potentially Eight2O. Role & Competence Specification. Required:. * CSCS Card. * Degree Educated. Desirable:. Chartered Quantity Surveyor (MRICS). Skills. * Commercial Experience of at least 10+ years in a project/ construction orientated. * Experience of working in an alliance environment. * Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple objectives in a quickly changing. * Good stakeholder engagement, collaboration, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. * A thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts. * Working knowledge of Commercial tools and systems. * Excellent Computer literacy. * Excellent Power point. * Excellent Presentation skills. * High personal standard showing drive and efficiency.
